International Travel News Highlights Jewish Heritage Trip to the Balkans

The January 2016 issue of ITN (International Travel News) included a description of our Jewish heritage tour of Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Greece (Salonica). The magazine listed the following trip highlights: the Sofia synagogue, the Alexander Nevski cathedral, the Rila monastery, the Dimitar Peshev museum in Kyustendil, the 11th-century Bachkovo monastery, the Skopje Holocaust Memorial Center, the Bet Yaakov synagogue in Skopje, the 15th-century Jewish cemetery in Bitola (Monastir), the Royal Tombs of Vergina (where Philip the II of Macedon was buried), and the Jewish museum in Thessaloniki.
